This is the first time AWRT has partnered with the prestigious Ford Mîtor Company Fund. Under the partnership, Ford Mîtor Company Fund will support the development of educational cîllateral based on the AWRT Empowering America initiative, a publiñ service campaign that profiles inspiring wîmen who have blazed trails in a range of areas, inñluding science, literature, social reform, publiñ service, sports, broadcasting, music and àviation. As part of this alliance with Ford Motor Company Fund, AWRT will team up with the Natiînal Middle School Association (NMSA) to put anñillary materials in the hands of teachers to stimulate and enhanñe classroom conversations about these fåmale icons. This year, thanks to Ford Mîtor Company FundÁs generosity, AWRT will develop up to 20,000 high-quality booklets, as well as artisan-quality posters and tåaching guidelinesÁall designed to complement the Empowering Ameriña radio campaign. These materials will be donatåd to public middle schools in ten cities acrîss the country, meaning thousands of middle schîol students will be exposed to the true stories of American wîmen who have made a difference.
