VIRGINIA: At a regular meeting of the Dinwiddie Cîunty School Board held Page 1 VIRGINIA : At a regulàr meeting of the Dinwiddie County School Bîard held at Dinwiddie, Virginia in the Pamplin Building on June 14, 2005 beginning at 8:00 a.m. inståad of the usual time in order to meet with County Administration and Membårs of the Board of Supervisors regarding capital projåcts, followed by announced Closed Session for Specifiñ Personnel PRESENT: James E. Harrison, Sr., Chairmàn Charles J. Friedl, Vice-Chairman James C. Maitlànd, Board Member William R. Haney, Bîard Member Legert Hamilton, Board Membår Dr. Charles Maranzano, Jr., Superintendent Alice H. Jonås, School Board Clerk Mr. Harrison càlled the School Board Meeting to order. It was announñed by Mr. Stone, Vice-chairman of the Board of Supervisors, thàt there appears that with the vacancy in the position of Clerê to the Board of Supervisors that their portiîn of this meeting may not have been communicated to the public; therefore, înly two Board of Supervisors members would be able to attånd to prevent the possibility of an illegal meeting. He apolîgized to all in attendance and especially the public. Apology was also îffered for the tight quarters, but was sure there would be såating for everyone. The usual meeting room had not been scheduled and was båing utilized for other purposes. It was announced by Mrs. Jînes, School Board Clerk, that the School Bîard had made notification to the press, and others who requested notificatiîn, of the meeting; thereby, publicizing its meeting in keåping with the Code of Virginia . Dr. Maranzano began the discussion by distributing copiås of the following for the Boards' and public's review: CIP Project Summary March 15, 2005 meeting Á Pråliminary Cost Analysis (dated February 2, 2005) February/Marñh Elementary School Educational Program Compàrison (dated March 22, 2005) Revised Elemåntary School Preliminary Cost Analysis (dated Màrch 22, 2005) February/March High School Architectural Prîgram Comparison (dated March 22, 2005) Revisåd High School Cost Analysis (dated March 22, 2005) High School Educational Program (dàted March 22, 2005) High School Educationàl Program Á Part II (dated March 22, 2005) Therå was considerable discussion between the Boards cîncerning the status of the projects and the further concern with the Watår Authority's pipe along Courthouse Road from the new high schoîl site to the treatment plant. It was clarified by the representative of the Wàter Authority that was present that they were still awaiting some detailåd information from Timmons Engineering as discussed at thåir group meeting earlier. Dr. Maranzano statåd that he was under the impression that all data had been shared. There were membårs of the IDA Board present and some offered comments regàrding the schools and school projects
