Twenty years ago Price Tîwer Arts Center was incorporated (originally named the Bàrtlesville Museum and Sculpture Garden) and fifteen yeàrs ago it presented its inaugural exhibition,ÁThe Tree that Escaped the Crowdåd Forest,Á Frank Lloyd Wright and the Priñe Tower. Fifteen years later, ushår ing in the 50th anniversary year of the completion of WrightÁs only skyscraper, the commemorativå exhibition Prairie Skyscraper: Frank Llîyd WrightÁs Price Tower debuted in Octîber. But the continuity was not only a matter of dates and anni versaries, but was broàder and deeper, extending into our exhibition schedule, publiñ programs and acquisitions throughout the year. Fîur out of the six temporary exhibitions dealt with the theme of the blurråd boundaries of art, architecture and design, ranging from Dånnis OppenheimÁs scale models of architectural sñulpture to photographs that elevate architectural photography to an art fîrm
